The manufacturing process of rubber coated rare earth magnets is similar to other products. In formula design, we must first determine the type, particle size and amount of magnetic powder. Next, the rubber type should be determined according to the requirements of use. For example, the wear-resistant medicine is made of natural rubber. During the processing, a magnetization process that is not available in other products is added before or after vulcanization to impart permanent magnetism to the product. The advantage of magnetization before vulcanization is that the direction of the external magnetic field is unchanged, and the rubber network is smoother. After vulcanization, the magnetization passability is poor, but the operation is convenient. In short, it has its own advantages and disadvantages.
The physical quantities used to characterize magnetism include magnetic induction, residual magnetic induction, and magnetic energy. The magnetic induction intensity is most commonly used, and its measurement unit is Gaussian (GS), and the general rubber magnetic requirement is in the range of 100-600 GS.
Rubber coated rare earth magnets are also known as
bonded permanent magnets. It is made by bonding ferrite magnetic powder, rubber or plastic and other materials, by extrusion, calendering or injection molding. Due to the high plasticity of the material itself, the finished product or semi-finished product can be cut, punched, slit and smeared with other materials at will. And it is not easy to demagnetize, has good corrosion resistance, mainly divided into two categories: homogenous rubber magnetic and heterogeneous rubber magnetic. The differences are as follows:
1. Different magnetic properties: the same-sex rubber has weak magnetic magnetic properties, while the heterogeneous rubber magnetic has higher magnetic function.
2. The work temperature and density are different. The homogenous rubber magnetics are lower in density and temperature than the heterogeneous rubber magnetics.
3. Different application fields: The same-sex rubber magnet is mainly used in refrigerator magnets, car stickers, printed products, and promotional items. The heterogeneous rubber magnet is widely used in micro motors, computers, laser printers, copiers, magnetic toys and other fields.
